International Lawyer for a Multi-Business Owner 

We were approached by the owner of multiple businesses with assets in Dubai (3 companies), Cyprus, Russia, and Hong Kong. They needed a universal, international-level lawyer to handle corporate law and litigation across several jurisdictions, with a focus on UAE and Cypriot legislation. A key feature was that the candidate needed to combine high expertise with a willingness to handle a wide variety of tasks ("hands-on" work), despite the budget for the position being very generous.

Challenges
The main difficulty was the approach of the owner himself. He didn't always read resumes in the classic format, so standard reports and tables didn't work. A special approach to presenting information was required to convey the strengths of each candidate. Moreover, finding a lawyer with deep knowledge of both UAE and Cypriot law, experience with different types of tasks, and readiness for multitasking in a "here and now" mode proved non-trivial – such specialists are either already in good positions or not publicly looking for work.
Solution
We abandoned standard reporting formats and adapted to the owner's perception style. For each candidate, we prepared custom made profiles – concise, visually convenient, with clearly highlighted advantages. Additionally, we recorded short video introductions from the finalists so the owner could gauge his personal impression even before a meeting. The search itself was conducted through networking: we posted an announcement in Telegram channels for recruiters, asking for recommendations of strong colleagues. Through one of these chains, we found the finalist – a lawyer who had just moved to Cyprus from Dubai and fit the request perfectly.
Result
The vacancy was closed. The owner gained a specialist ready to work with multiple jurisdictions at once, and the non-standard presentation method (video + adapted profiles) helped make a quick decision without lengthy negotiations. The candidate started working on the project and began handling the company's legal affairs.
